This month I wanted to keep things simple as I find when you have something like this it is already busy due to the multiple boxes. I used various pages from the Chantilly Paper Packet and the Chantilly Complements Dimensional Elements. I jazzed things up a bit using liquid glass when I just wanted a bit of shine, and Glitz Stardust Glitter Gel for Sparkle.

This is the completed project, you will see in the upper left hand corner I did not insert a picture. I just love this one paper style and decided to use the Chantilly Dimensional elements to emphasize it. I popped them up with half inch glue dots.

One of my other passions is gardening, so I thought this was the perfect venue to show off two of my favourite past-times. I also added a shot of my daughters puppy at the time because was the last time he was small enough to fit under anything.

We had a lot of Monarch Butterflies last year, and that was the first time since I had moved to Manitoba that we had so many in our neighbourhood.

The Glitz Glitter Gel just adds a nice sparkle to the dimensional elements.I used the Liquid Glass in the centre of each flower in the border accent on the left side. It made the pink centres show up brighter.

My two page layout this month is based on the Chantilly Workshop on the Go on page 21 of the Spring Summer 2013.

I did not use the kit itself in error but recreated my own design using the Chantilly line from Paper Packet X7163B.

For the leaf and flower stamps I used the Alphabet set E1019

The leaves are done in Sweet Leaf Z2153

The Flower in the upper right I used Cranberry Z2116

The eyes in the half circle at the top right of page one, and bottom left from on page two are from the Sparkles, Red, Pink and Purple Assorted Pack Z1326. I used the large pinker ones on the purple sheet in the pack.

I have put a flip flap in the centre so that I can make more use of pictures, and/or to journal once side and have a picture on the other. I haven’t quite decided yet.

I cut 18 one inch circles in half to create the semi –circle borders, outlining using the Cranberry marker Z2316

The two one inch circles are outlined using the same marker.

For the three inch circle in the bottom left of page one I used White Daisy cardstock for the base and then  I cut pie shapes using both sides of the different patterned papers included in the Chantilly paper pack. The middle circle is one of the two one inch circles described above. The centre is one of the Chantilly assorted covered buttons.

On page two the main difference is that I inserted three 3” x 5” rectangles to attach pictures to at a later date.

The semi-circle in the upper left was done using a three inch circle cut in half and pie shapes cut from some of the two sided pages included in the Chantilly paper pack.

The flower at the bottom right of page two came from the Chantilly Complements Dimensional Elements X7163C.

I thought the birds on the Chantilly Paisley sheet were so beautiful that I used one as the centre of my border on page two.

For my blog I created a Valentines Card For My Husband

For this card I used brown cardstock cut down to 8 1/2 " by 11"
I then cut 2 pieces of white card stock 5" x 8" one piece for the front of the card the other piece for the insert.
On the front I used paper from the Reflections Paper Pack Kit X7134B layering 4 different hearts to create a raised effect.
I like to cut my hearts freehand as I like the freedom of imperfections.
I used three different stamp sets to create this card on the front Happy Valentines Day is January 2013 Stamp of the Month.
The cloud burst in the upper left corner is from D1782 the Love Life Stamp Set as well as the Live, Laugh, Love.

For the Card insert the twin hearts and the stamp Two hearts beat as One I used D1445 Amore, I also used this stamp set for the top heart on the front cover.
The With all my Heart stamp is also from the January 2013 SOTM set.
The remaining stamps were from D1482 the Love Life Stamp Set.

I used Vineyard Berry and Outdoor Denim to create a more masculine affect.

I hope you all enjoy this project.
